Patient Communication

Description

These illustrations and animations were created for patient communication purposes. An example of a complete brochure designed for print is available at this link. In addition to traditional formats, we also create graphic narratives (sequential medical art or medical comics) aimed at using visual stories to convey medical information to patients. This medium employs sequences of images to create a narrative in a dynamic accessible format. The two galleries below feature more examples of this type of work.

Patient Communication Through 3D Animation

This 3D animation for patient communication depicts a Neuroangiography Suite. The machinery was simplified and modeled specifically for this animation. The animation was produced for Johns Hopkins Interventional Neuroradiology.

Patient Communication Through 2D Animation

These 2D animations were created using a hand-drawn style combined with minimal animation effects to depict some key differences between normal blood flow in the brain and pathological blood flow that occurs with vein of Galen malformations. These animations were created as quick visual reference material for patients of Johns Hopkins Interventional Neuroradiology.
